The Cisco TwinGig Converter Module, or CVR-X2-SFP, is a hot-swappable I/O device that provides a seamless migration path from Gigabit Ethernet to 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It converts a single 10-Gigabit Ethernet X2 interface into two Gigabit Ethernet Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) ports.
This allows you to initially use a switch with Gigabit Ethernet uplinks and then, as your business needs evolve, transition to 10 Gigabit Ethernet without having to upgrade your existing switches or modules. It offers valuable investment protection and is supported on various Cisco Catalyst switches, including the 4500, 3750, and 3560 E-Series.
