The SOLARFLARE SFM10G-SR is a high-performance 10Gb/s 850nm Multimode Datacom SFP+ Transceiver designed for use in 10-Gigabit Solarflare Ethernet Ethernet links over multimode fiber.
This hot-pluggable SFP+ module supports bit rates from 9.95 to 10.3 Gb/s and utilizes an Uncooled 850nm VCSEL laser. It features a duplex LC connector and a receiver limiting electrical interface. The transceiver offers excellent power efficiency with a power dissipation of less than 1W and operates from a single 3.3V power supply. It is compliant with the RoHS-6 (lead-free) directive and operates within a commercial temperature range of to . A key feature is its maximum link length of 300m on 2000 MHz-km MMF (Multimode Fiber).
The SFM10G-SR is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/SW standards, making it ideal for 10GBASE-SR/SW 10G Ethernet applications. Furthermore, it includes built-in digital diagnostic functions available via a 2-wire serial interface, enhancing system management and monitoring.
